15th March 2009Councillor Ron Hills, Mayor of Lincoln, asked his Waites to play at Holy Cross Church (Skellingthorpe Road, Lincoln), on the occasion of his Worship's Annual Civic Church Service. 13th June 2009 - Concert of Early Music celebrating performing groups based around Lincoln.On 13th June 2009 the Waites performed at a concert of early Music in St Nicholas' Church, Newport, Lincoln. Proceeds from the retiring collection were donated to Lincoln Early Music Festival concert promotions. The Concert included performances by: The City of Lincoln Waites, Lincolnshire Society of Recorder Players, Chevrette, Dolce, Cantiones Renovatae, 1685, Lincoln Viols, The Beaumont Recorder Consort and Lincoln Renaissance Band. Most of the Waites play in at least one of these other bands too. The Lincoln flag was carried in by our good friend Master Stan Parker.
